Day 3 of the 3-Day @LaunchChair Build Challenge starts now ✨ Quick recap: Day 1: One Good Thing was just a sentence in my notes: “One good thing you can do for yourself or someone else.” LaunchChair helped me turn that tiny idea into a clearer wedge and a more viable MVP direction. Those first two phases are now free in LaunchChair btw, no credit card required. Day 2: You all helped me pick the feature set and main direction for the MVP. Then LaunchChair generated the build Kanban, including all the Codex prompts I need inside the cards. I finished 4/15 build cards. Now it’s Day 3. I'm sitting at 45% finished on my 3-day @LaunchChair build, at 75% I can share the product with everyone to play with as we won't be doing any of the distribution phases for the 3-day builds. I wanted to share the auto-generated PRD / spec so you guys can see what was generated off of the simple idea I shared yesterday. This PRD / spec is what is spliced and fed into the LaunchChair prompt engine on the build board, all build prompts are auto generated based off this PRD.

In anticipation of Codex Sites we’re releasing a new stack option in LaunchChair specifically for Sites. I’m excited about this! This is going to make creating complex production ready and scalable products even faster. This means virtually zero stack setup in LaunchChair…

We are back for Day 2 of our 3-day build using @LaunchChair My project this week is called One Good Thing. It started as a little sentence, "one good thing you can do right now for yourself or others." By the end of the day yesterday, we had a much more holistic view of what that little sentence is going to become. I am on Phase 3: Positioning This phase takes all of the data you've generated with your idea and the market research synthesis, and guides the positioning of the product: it clarifies the category, differentiation from competitors, and why a buyer would switch to your product now. Demo 2 from the One Good Thing build ✨ This one shows how feature Kanban cards work inside @LaunchChair. Yesterday, One Good Thing was still just a cute little idea in my notes. Today, it’s turning into actual buildable cards: → feature direction → killer feature path → acceptance criteria → what needs to ship first I was slightly less nervous recording this one, but mostly I was just too excited to wait. This is the part where the build starts feeling real 🪑

Phase 4: MVP Blueprint This phase is where everything starts to come together and it's the final phase before the build starts. We have finished defining our screens and flows, and now we're going to choose our feature direction. Which do you think I should choose?

As a lot of you already know Claire and I are on a mission to give the build community tools that have meaningful impact, we want to see people win and we don’t just see dollar signs when we interact with our community. We noticed a lot of founders are working blind when it comes to their competitors, their ICP, general product validation, and their products market wedge. We also noticed that there are an insane number of people charging egregious prices for very simple validators with pretty bad data output, generally these products charge you money to tell you your idea sucks with very little insight given. So while doing our 3-day builds we decided to make the first 2 phases of @LaunchChair completely free to use with no credit card needed. Even if your product is finished this is a great way to get you thinking about your feature wedge, find some hidden competitors, see feature overlap, learn some deep insights around your ICP, and understand substitute user behavior in your space better.
