Some people really lack basic home training. You get a gift and the first thing you ask is how much it cost or how many they bought. Why? Just say thank you. Someone helps you and you start feeling entitled to more. No appreciation, just expectation. You borrow something and return it late or damaged like it’s normal. You make plans, don’t show up, don’t even say a word. You interrupt people mid sentence but expect full attention when it’s your turn. These are small things, but they say everything. Being a decent human is not hard, people just choose not to try.
