@LHalberd it has quite a lot of bottomless pits actually, there’s just a lot less “do or die” sections that Rush 1 and Advance 2 tended to have. Also uh, I’ll get back to you on that. There’s crysals you can spot while on the coaster a bit later but idk if those help

@LoneSpeedsterDX That last laser wisp path was some DKC secret barrel cannon shitwtf, why would I think to think to aim straight into the void in a Dimps game? Sure Colors DS is infinitely more generous with its lack of bottomless pits, but did I miss something that would clue you in to it prior?

showcasing this in case I’m given the “GIT GUD” card because I can’t say I didn’t try to learn how this game works a lot of the level design is just too gimmicky for me to really care for it, and the Wii version has much stronger movement anyway

@MediumSmokes if you play it correctly you only have to ever ride 2 minecarts in the entire stage and that’s it …or, yknow, none if you do that rocket ramp skip before the 2nd 2D sections starts

I don't get why a lot of people say Planet Wisp Act 2 in Gens gets bad once it goes 2D. Like, it still goes REALLY strong in 2D until it goes to the part that represents Act 4 with the platforms you ride. Even then it gets very good again at the Act 6 climbing segment.

@NotSoGenesiz it’s also funny people keep dragging air riders into this considering - no one talks about it anymore - most Kirby fans I’ve seen aren’t even remotely interested in gloated about which game is better

the fact people are still trying to set up mario kart world and air riders against this game in 2026 is embarrassing as #Fuck ngl

the removal of the trick system still is one of my biggest sticking points as it’s a big part of what makes Rush gameplay fun, and to substitute they just replace it with a mediocre rendition of Sonic’s modern boost moveset, all of which is done way better in Colors Wii

- 5 seconds with wisps. Special stages drag for an eternity and even the final one lacks any real tenseness or challenge that Rush’s special stages offered. Music was straight up bad and I swear to god if I ever hear that bumbling low quality cutscene theme again I’m gonna scream

finished a replay of Sonic Colors DS and yup it was pretty mediocre Admittedly I didn’t dislike it as much as I used to. The airboost surprisingly is able to substitute for quite a bit of what the old trick system offered, but everything is bleh
