@Maz_Idriss Over the last 8 years, I've had the honour of supervising Masters students and degree students for their work. Our partner police services drive that work so students are researching on behalf of their force. This year I've had three students who have produced brilliant work.

PCC Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts met with Dr. Kulsoom Yusuf Pridmore, Head of Discipline for Continuous Professional Development at @DerbyUni, to discuss her work on gender-based violence prevention and survivor empowerment. 🤝 Dr. Pridmore has undertaken extensive research into honour-based abuse (HBA) and is passionate about promoting cultural awareness within our education settings and wider communities. 🏫 The meeting was a valuable opportunity to highlight the challenges—particularly those faced by women — around HBA. Through partnership working with victim services across Derbyshire, Nicolle remains committed to raising awareness and ensuring that we are equipped to provide effective support for victims of honour-based abuse (HBA) and female genital mutilation (FGM). Providing clear guidance to partners and stakeholders is also essential to ensure a consistent and effective approach to tackling these issues. #SaferAndStrongerTogether #DeliveringForDerbyshire #DerbyshireOPCC
