Almost 5 years ago I wrote “Iso ninde” during the rise of offspring of killers and their campaign to whitewash the crimes of their fathers (mothers) and grand fathers (grand mothers).
This is the demonstration of the failure of moral courage that is inherited by the offspring.
This failure is the antithesis to what today April 13 is all about.
I will soon write about those for whom the day like today is about, those who should stand tall with shoulders upright because either they resisted having to kill their compatriots or they are the offspring of those who demonstrated this moral courage.

Sometimes I’m quite baffled how everyone let it slide. The genocide against the Tutsi was literally organized in plain sight. No one called out The hate speech, the dehumanization and everything that was ongoing. Yet they have the audacity to tell us how to grieve.
