Introverts are not quiet, they wait. To feel safe. To feel free to open up. To feel the trust to let you in their mystical worlds. They may seem closed off at the beginning. But once you're in, trust me you'll be blown away by what lies behind those walls.

Today I reunited with someone I had taught as a Grade 6 student, 10 years ago. What a full circle moment, listening to her describe her excitement as a future teacher. I could not be more proud of this young woman and cannot wait to be able to call her a colleague very soon.

I received three unexpected handwritten notes recently. Handwritten notes are underrated. We should write more of them.

Friendly reminder that it's extremely important to pronounce student names correctly. It's a part of their identity. If you aren't sure about a name, ask the student.

This book was exactly what I needed to read! It validated how I feel as an introvert in so many social situations. Thank you @susancain, you have left so much more for me to think about as a school leader, partner and parent with two sons; one an extrovert and one an introvert.
