@AleGalli_Med @LocalCatch @EndOvershoot #SSF in Maine were forced by sea food supply chains 2 catch high volumes in order to make a decent living, which they knew 2B unsustainable, or not be viable. They decided 2 unite in order to get a better price and thus reduce pressure on the target species - it was a success!

#SSF need a different treatment to large scale fishing, and both need to have their place clearly defined and respected. The #CFP favours larger scale fishing which gets over 90% of the catches, but represent only 20% of the fleet. Watch the debate : bit.ly/3xNN5Ha
