It’s a tough time right now for the NFT art community. 50% layoffs, OG platforms shutting down, no sales in months if not a year. There are also grievances from disappearing royalties, not delivering enough value for the high fees, value not being recognized, and inequity in the market. But all that said, we still need each other, we still need enough of us to survive for the promise of NFTs to survive, so as much as it may not feel good to help that platform or that person that you think did some wrong, I imagine there is also a lot of good they have brought to the table and we need that good to give us the best chance of flourishing when the bull market returns. How we thread that needle will not be easy and we will need good actors and the right leadership to shepherd this motley crew of hooligans to make sure that art has a clear and prosperous role in crypto’s future. This is all to say, I hope success happens because we united together and not because the wolves slaughtered the sheep.

Hey everyone, tough day today. I am stepping down from my position at Yuga Labs. Some tweets have resurfaced from my past and it’s become a distraction from the Club and what we’re all about. These tweets do not reflect who I am or what I believe in. It has been an amazing experience getting to know all of you over the last years and I am proud of everything I’ve done with BAYC and Yuga. I want to apologize to anyone who I may have let down with tweets I made in poor taste. It’s a really sad day but I’m not leaving the club and I’ll always be around here, on Discord, and hope to see you all next year’s ApeFest.
