@LegendStreetFGC @theNNPW i have a coworker who doesn’t even play games who asked me if i was gonna go see it, so clearly there are people hyped for it. And MK will get sales if it’s $20 for the game with all dlc, whereas you’re spending at least $100 WITH sales for that on SF.

But since mK isnt getting any updates, no one will buy the game from the movie. But SF is getting updates so there will be sales.

It’s crazy of all the big fighting games in the current generation of consoles, the one to sell the most units (more than 8 million), also had the shortest span of post-launch support. Mortal Kombat 1 sold 8 million copies, the 3rd best selling NRS game, outselling MK9.

The game that would get 2 years of support beat out the highly anticipated SF6, while also having less audience range?

@MicroMakesMusic @theNNPW It's only like a 2 or 3 month difference. But SF6 is made with the intention of it lasting for 6+ years. It's at 7m sales right now, and with its slew of updates, will easily reach 8m by the end of the year. Plus you have the movie coming out. MK has basically fizzled out.
