Year 8s have been putting their Scandinavian inspired plant pots together today 🪴 🌱

As part of our sustainability scheme of learning, Y7s are making products out of old clothes they had at home. Really impressed with their enthusiasm 🌎 ✂️

Busy KS3 day today in DT. Machine sewing, hand sewing and Photoshop for Y7 & 8s 🪡 🖥️

Year 8s are creating prints inspired by Scandinavian designers and Marimekko 🌸 Looking forward to seeing them on fabric

Year 10 are getting to grips with photoshop. We love working with a live brief #wool4school2025 @Woolmark 🐑 🧶

Lanyard production in full swing for the Big D&T Meet! Year 9s led by @EmmaJane518327 have been ironing and sewing 300+lanyards, whilst @DTTechCharlie has been playing with the neon rivets! Just have to make a decision on the sublimation printed part! 🌟

@ArtTeacherHWN @Made_in_heth_ac Thanks! We don’t. They are pot covers for inside homes…You could use the iron on laminating sheets and a different lining fabric to make them waterproof though!

@MissALEdt @Made_in_heth_ac These look great, what material are you using on the plant pots for them to waterproof as love this idea.

Wonderful afternoon running a Textiles Enthuse partnership course. We focused on designing creative KS3 schemes of work, jam packed with learning opportunities. Lots of discussions and making. Lovely to spend an afternoon with enthusiastic Textiles teachers 🪡 🖊️
