@dyegolara @abjectbaby I guess Iranians have fantastic hinders.

@abjectbaby why does it makes sense? what is it? whats the revelation?

@AVARY @george__mack Begs the question - is masonry ever really free? I’ve been to Home Depot and the answer seems to be “no”.
English

@Aurondarklord @momiji_doa Valid point. George Lucas is not without blame. He should’ve left the originals alone. The fan base, however, need to accept their - our - role in the death of Star Wars as well.
English

@momiji_doa Well maybe he shouldn't have done stuff like re-edit ANH to have Greedo shoot first. The criticism was warranted.
English

Blame the fans. George shouldn't be free from criticism but clearly the constant bashing of his work drove him to this.
Severus@SeverusChud
The regret on George Lucas's face as Disney bought Star Wars for 4 Billion dollars
English

@momiji_doa 4) And I really don’t blame RLM for this, they’re just convenient scapegoats. A lot of their criticism of the prequels are valid, but it’s kind of hard to not say that the Episode One video “lit the fuse” that eventually led to the garbage we have today.
English

@momiji_doa 3) We, the “fans”, drove him to that decision. He must’ve felt something like, “They have no idea what bad is. I’ll sell it all to the most creatively bankrupt entity on Earth and then Red Letter Media will learn the true meaning of bad.”
English

@momiji_doa 2) We insulted him and berated him for the audacity to give us what we’ve been asking for. Granted, the prequels weren’t great by any measure, but the backlash was unreal. GL made Star Wars in defiance of major corporate involvement…
English

@momiji_doa 1) Fans pestered and badgered GL for years for the 1st 3 eps. “HoW’D DaRth vAdeR bECOMe a BAd guy?” He didn’t want to - he’d told the story he wanted to, but he gave in and - the Fans buried him. Not his fault that we weren’t 6 years old again when Episode One came out…

What a stupid idea in the first place… listen to that POP of the title reveal.
Make it make sense!

@BrunetPau I’ve the “this isn’t CGI guys” caveat tied onto classic movie scenes over and over again. Question is - are there actually people out there who’ll look at a scene from a movie made in the 1960s and think, “Whatevs. Just computer shit”
English

@AesirAesthetics @TBartels1 For the record - I’m not only cool because I’ve read “The King in Yellow,” I’m extra cool for thinking it sucks.
English

@TBartels1 it was an interesting enough first half of a book followed by nonsense about bohemian Paris for the second half
English

reading the King in Yellow is one of the classic mistakes

@KKalvaitis Careful what you say about him, he’s a wizard. Ooooo

I absolutely did not want to see Mr. Hyde sodomize the Invisible Man to death in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, yet that's what Alan Moore dropped on me when I was reading it.
And I don't read Alan Moore anymore.

@Mschatnoir As an American, I’m genuinely surprised that you all don’t have a different word for “shower door”, like a bensonmum or a flobotnum.
