Happy Birthday to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Today we celebrate Dr. King—and we also tell the truth. The U.S. government accepted responsibility for his killing in the 1999 civil case brought by the King family. That matters. Last year, the government released hundreds of pages of previously sealed files on Dr. King. And in all of them, there was zero evidence of the racist smear that he was secretly sleeping with white women—a lie repeated for decades to undermine him. Even Charlie Kirk said his mission was to “end the way we see Dr. King,” hoping those files would deliver something damaging. They found nothing—before they Swiss-cheese Kirk’s neck. So today, we celebrate the man, the truth, and the legacy. Happy Birthday, Dr. King.
