We’re comparing mass using non standard units today! Lots of great discussion going on ⚖️

In our dance session with Sam, we’re trying really hard to find the beat in the music using different movements. It’s not as easy as it looks! 💃🕺🏻

We have started our Geography topic called ‘Let’s visit Australia!’. We knew a little bit about Australia in the past as part of our Captain Cook topic in History but, we have spent time researching this afternoon, and found out so much about what it’s like there now!

A lovely walk to the library this morning! We learned all about borrowing books and listened to some twisted fairy tales linking to our learning at school. It was lovely to have an opportunity to explore the books on the shelves too!

We have loved using the @MozaikEducation app to look at Captain Cook’s Endeavour in 3D! We used this to support our learning about life onboard ship for the crew. We have drawn the ship and labelled it’s different parts ⚓️

We have the museum to ourselves! We’ve already looked at Cook’s early life in Middlesbrough and Whitby. Now we’re learning all about life on board his ship! ⚓️

We’ve been learning about patterns with shape in maths today. We looked at making a 4 shape repeating pattern and how to make a single shape repeating pattern 🔴🔺🟥🔴🔺🟥

We’ve been exploring and naming 2D and 3D shapes this morning! We had a great discussion about what makes a square and why a rectangle is different even though it has 4 sides and corners too 🧐🤔🟦🟣🔺🛢️🏀🎁
