HMCS OJIBWA carried 'riders' in the clandestine world of the Cold War. Awesome tours & stories about Silent Service. This submarine is very cool!

The Elgin Military Museum in St. Thomas, Ontario & ‘sub-station’ HMCS Ojibwa Remember the Liberation of Holland. We salute the determination of the liberators, many of whom were members of our museum, & the fortitude of the Dutch people. #LiberationDay #CanadaRemembers #tulips

Looking forward to a time when it is safe for HMCS Ojibwa to open again. No doubt there will be a lot more bunnies this year because we haven’t been there to disturb them. Please keep safe #HappyEaster2020 #tillwemeetagain

The #submarine compound gets its grass cut for the first time in 2020! Teddy & Cindy are having a ball with the fresh grass. Later on in the season visitors to Port Burwell can go for a buggy ride with them #Sunday #horselovers

There won't be a flake of snow in site but even at 10 Celsius our Cold War submarine HMCS Ojibwa will be more comfortable this weekend if you wear mitts and a coat. Totally awesome goes with any weather. Open noon till four.

What a difference a year makes! Port Burwell, ON will not look like this when you visit this weekend (noon till four) temperatures are well above zero. Bring warm mitt and socks for the submarine as it can be chilly. #ThrowbackThursday #museums #weekend

Some say it’s what’s inside that counts. See for yourself. HMCS Ojibwa is open this weekend noon till 4. It is an unforgettable experience. Bundle up – it’s a steel tube in the winter. Port Burwell is on Lake Erie – Ontario’s south coast. #submarine #SaturdayMorning #thingstodo

HMCS Ojibwa welcomed a group from the US Lighthouse Society on Wednesday. Had a lot of fun opening the torpedo tube door and generally laughing our way through the submarine. NB: No appendix was experimented upon this time & no rum passed our lips! @USLHS #Museums @OntSouthwest

Submarine Commander Ron Perks has moved on to a little different mode of transportation today to bring a bus load of the Probus Club from Pickering, ON to tour his old stomping (quietly) ground HMCS Ojibwa. The image was taken in 1972 @RoyalCanNavy, #roadTrip, #museum

We've moved the mock Mark 48 torpedo into the loading position. Come down to Port Burwell and check it out. We have two former submariners aboard today - one a sonarman and the other communications/radio lady. #CDNmilitaryhistory #roadTrip #museums
