@kendrictonn Many devoted fans (and the ones I've encountered have been generally decent). The company that makes it had the license to several old school fantasy authors/series and have made tweeked versions for Leiber's Lahnkmar and Vance's Dying Earth settings.

@kendrictonn I've run a lot of it. Gameplay is swingy, wild, and over the top (the term gonzo often gets used to describe it). Can be very fun but it's not very serious. A real strength to it is the 3rd party zine culture that it encourages.

I don't suppose any of you nerds have played Dungeon Crawl Classic & have any opinions to share about it?

I have added another slightly depressing post-it note to my reminder collection, joining such hits as "Breaks not Breakdowns." They're kind of jokey and kind of sad, but frankly the above mantra has helped me prioritize breaks! Any phrases that bring you comfort or strength?
