Trade Facilitation Initiative by NMPA Port announces a waiver of Cargo Related Charges (CRC) applicable for handling Crude Oil and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cargo at the Port. This initiative aims to incentivize cargo movement and maximize throughput during the closing phase of the financial year 2025–26, further strengthening operational efficiency and supporting the energy logistics sector. 📌 Key Highlights:
• Applicable for Crude Oil and LPG cargo handled at NMPA
• Valid for vessels berthed up to 31.03.2026 (12:00 PM)
• Includes vessels declared after issuance of the Trade Circular and cargo handled at the Single Point Mooring (SPM) on or before the stipulated date. Important update from @shipmin_india amid the ongoing West Asia tensions: All Indian seafarers in the Persian Gulf region are safe. No incidents reported in the last 24 hours. Two Indian-flagged LPG carriers — MV Shivalik & MV Nanda Devi — carrying ~92,700 MT of LPG, successfully and safely transited the Strait of Hormuz early this morning and are now heading towards Indian ports. Grateful for the continuous monitoring by the @shipmin_india and the Government of India. Safety of our seafarers remains the top priority.

NMPA marked the valedictory of the International Women’s Day celebrations on 09.03.2026, organized by the Women’s Cell at the Port. NMPA continues its strong growth trajectory with an impressive cargo handling performance in the current financial year. As on 04 March 2026, the Port has handled 46.09 Million Metric Tons of cargo, surpassing the 46.01 Million Metric Tons handled during FY25. This reflects the enhanced operational efficiency, strong customer engagement, and the relentless efforts of the Port fraternity. 📦 Container Traffic Growth Container handling has also recorded steady progress with 179,594 TEUs handled in the current year, compared to 171,234 TEUs during the corresponding period last year — reflecting a growth of 4.88%.
