I really like "black background" NES games. It's just a good art style in general. Moody, high contrast, allows you to indulge in very high detail without getting too noisy. Honestly, I think it's a super valid artistic choice even if you aren't mimicking "NES-style" games

Back in the day, I would always use them. I think some retro games can look good with specific ones.

In the early days of emulators especially with snes9x the one thing I didnt look for was accuracy, i wanted to make it look super smooth with those filters like super Sai and scaleFX. Now the thought of using something like that horrifies me.

In 1998, Michael Jackson, Shaq & Ice Cube made this hoops-themed remix of "We Be Clubbin."
The plan was to put it in commercials & on a NBA compilation album called "We Be Ballin," but the project was shelved because of the lockout.
Eventually, the full version leaked in '08.

Luka has been at an MVP level for two stretches this season. To start the year for ~ 6 weeks, and for the last few weeks.
He deserves a lot of credit for the team’s defensive turnaround, but he was culpable when they were bad earlier in the year.
Shai has simply been better.
