“what?” she questioned, her voice raising slightly. “i’m n-not avoiding you.” she said with a stutter, unable to make eye contact.

finally making their way to the kitchen, josie unwrapped her arm from the wolfs. quickly turning so they wouldn’t see the blush appear on josie’s face at the realization of what she’s done. “so,” she busies herself, “would you like some tea?”

josie laughs at the girls expression. “trust me i’ve done my fair share of setting things on fire,” she sheepishly laughs thinking back to the many incendia spells she’s done, “but i won’t say anything to dad if you don’t.” she trails off as she gives viktorija a cheeky smile.

+ shoulder to lead them to the kitchen, determined to make them feel better.

+ “i know the kitchens probably aren’t the best place to talk but i’d rather not wake lizzie up, she can get really angry when woken up.” she widens her eyes to make an exaggerated face at charlie, hoping to make them laugh. she adjusts her arm so it’s around the wolfs +

“hey, no you can always come to me, that’s what friends are for right?” despite wanting to not 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 be friends with the wolf, now wasn’t the time for that. “let’s go to the kitchen and i’ll make you something to drink and we can talk about it,” she pauses +

+ she trails off, looking down and playing with her hands. she hates to disappoint the girl she admires. but, she doesn’t want to end up hurting her for being unable to control herself again.

+ however, once hearing about the spells, nerves overtake her. she’s still scared to do much magic, despite the reassurance that it won’t be any black magic. “i don’t know hope, shouldn’t you ask lizzie? i mean im not sure how trusted i should be around magic. . .” +

watching as hope walked into the room she scoots over on her bed, gesturing to the girl to sit. as she listens she smiles at the thought of spending time in new orleans with hope, always trying to find excuses to hang out with the tribrid. +

+ “so what’s up?” she looks down at the wolf face and notices their eyes puffy and slightly red, even in the dim hall lights. “wait hold on we’re you crying?”

she furrowed her brows, realizing who had come to the door. “wha- hey,” she reaches out to grab charlie’s arm as they turn to seemingly walk off, not wanting them to, “what are you doing here?” she turns back to shut the door softly, trying not to wake lizzie. +
