In my former role as the executive director of @OUTMetroWest, I learned of barriers to HIV-prevention services. While we could assist youth in securing HIV testing & treatment, current law prevented access to HIV-prevention services. That 10 year effort has nearly came to an end.

@FenwayHealth @masssupport_org So true! One of our local senior living communities (Camellia Gardens in Maynard) did a Pride month this past June, and it meant the world to residents.

@masssupport_org A5: Organizations that work with older adults need to be welcoming and inclusive toward LGBTQIA+ older adults, in their knowledge, attitudes and behavior, so that they can treat our elders with the dignity and respect they deserve. #MassSupport

Q5. What supports need to be put in place within organizations, such as schools and other agencies, to help support the LGBTQ+ community, both now and in the future? #MassSupport

@masssupport_org A5. If we could advocate for one thing at this moment, it'd be a more robust pipeline of LGBTQ+ mental health professionals. We need queer and trans therapists who understand the unique needs of our community, and we need a lot of them. #MassSupport
