गुजरात – सूरत में महेश शर्मा ऐसी फैक्ट्री चला रहा था, जहां दूध की एक बूंद के बिना भी रोजाना 400 KG नकली पनीर बनाया जा रहा था। ये पामोलिन तेल, मिल्क सॉलिड पाउडर, पानी और एसिड से बन रहा था। इसकी सप्लाई रेहड़ी–पटरी पर फास्टफूड बेचने वालों को थी। FSSAI से लाइसेंस कहीं और का ले रखा था, जबकि फैक्ट्री कहीं और चल रही थी। अनुमान है कि पिछले 2 साल में करीब 3 लाख किलो नकली पनीर की सप्लाई हो चुकी है।
