The discourse surrounding the Invincible VS beta is example of why fighting games will never go mainstream. Fighters are the ultimate ego destroyer. It’s YOU versus the problem. If you’re not capable of introspection you’ll never improve. Just accept some matches will have you looking like Mark at the end of season one & try to think about what you could have done differently 🤷🏽♂️

Yes, I’d also say it’s habit forming. A FT2 mindset is vastly different hence why people who play in tournaments tend to do better tournaments. They understanding you only have a finite amount of time to implement and refine your strategy and make the most of every opportunity.

You rely on long sets to download an opponent, but a tournament bracket does not give you that luxury. If you cannot make the read in an FT2, your match awareness is too slow for actual competition.
