So please spend as much time as you can with your loved ones. - You are the only happiness for them, so keep visiting your home. - I know many of you are living away from your home due to jobs, studies, and other responsibilities, but do visit and meet your parents. They truly feel happy when you do. - I know all of you can feel this once you leave home, it's never the same as it was during your childhood. - Now whenever I visit home, my return ticket is already booked. Someone once said: Men need to leave home to build their own home and yes, that's true. How many of you are able to relate it ✋

🐧 5 Linux server habits every production engineer should have: After managing Linux infrastructure across CentOS, RHEL and Ubuntu in high-stakes production environments, here are the non-negotiables on every server I touch: 1- HARDEN SSH ON DAY ONE: Disable root login, Key-based authentication only. Change the default port if possible. Password-based SSH in production is not acceptable. 2 - FIREWALL FIRST: NOT "WE'LL ADD IT LATER" Open only the ports you need. Close everything else. A server exposed to the internet with no firewall rules isn't a server it's an open invitation. 3 - CONFIGURE LOG ROTATION BEFORE LOGS FILL THE DISK: I've seen production servers go down because nobody configured log rotate. Set it up on day one. Your future self will be grateful. 4 - DISK ALERTS AT 80%; NOT 100% By the time a disk is full, the damage is done. Alert at 80%, take action at 85%. 100% means vou're already in an incident 5 - TEST YOUR BACKUPS BY RESTORING THEM An untested backup is not a backup; it's a hope. Schedule restore drills. Find out your backup is broken before an incident forces you to find out Production Linux isn't glamorous. It's discipline consistency, and habits built over time.
