Celebrating #LabourDay with a difference. Today I joined @ActionAidZim in launching the #OneGlobalCampaign to Recognise, Redistribute and Reduce the burden of unpaid carework on women. #BangYourPot to support the campaign @ACTIVISTA_ZW @ActionAid @bangirac @graceruvimbo

#Youngpeople, women, men, the state and the private sector all have a responsibility for meeting communities’ care needs to reduce the burden of unpaid care work on women #AllWomenWork @global_uganda @GP_Kenya @activista @ActionAidZim @ACTIVISTA_ZW @EverjoiceWin @vanyaradzayi

So how can we address unpaid care work & free the potential in women? Recognise & value unpaid care and domestic work through the provision of public services, infrastructure & social protection policies, & the promotion of shared responsibility within the household @RuvhenekoP

Unpaid care work in the household includes domestic work such as cooking, cleaning, washing, and water and firewood (fuel) collection. :-( This reinforces stereotypes and force women to stay at home limiting their potential #AllWomenWork @vanyaradzayi @ActionAidZim
