Quarterback Mindset Must For Longterm Success:
1) Team Over Me… What can I do at this moment to secure win for the team
2) Listen to the voices that matter… Your head coach’s voice, OC voice, play-caller voice always WINS over your “local guru” voice, your uncle who watches a lot of football voice, your street agents voice, and your always blame the coach dads voice. There may or may not be a legitimate voice from an “outsider” but more times than not the outsider voice has ZERO accountability and gigantic liability for you and your teams success U will NEVER reach your maximum achievement for self or team if u don’t learn to shut down outside voices. Any QB guru u are working with should be in consistent contact and alignment with your “Real Coaches” otherwise u have a disaster brewing.
3) Extremely short memory for amazing thing just happened and extremely short memory for disastrous result of previous play. Be great for the next play! That’s the goal
4) Practice craving for the opportunity to have to “make plays” in crucial moments and mentally draw them up
5) Visualize the result u need and then execute through a thousand practice reps
6) Be grateful… u play the most difficult and most important position in all of sports. Own it. Breathe it in and attack the preparation. Your team is counting on u
