Yesterday, we met with the Deputy Executive Secretary of the @HumanRightsMW - Winston Mwafulirwa, together with our partner @nyaleinstitute, to discuss how we can strengthen collaboration to support the implementation of the AC (a minor) court decision, where the court affirmed that survivors of sexual violence have an automatic right to access abortion services in Malawi. The Commission is uniquely positioned to convene key stakeholders, including government institutions, to help ensure the rights affirmed in the decision are fully enforced to protect the rights of women and girls in Malawi. Adolescent pregnancy is still one of the leading threats to the health and survival of girls worldwide? Behind the global figures are thousands of preventable complications and deaths each year underscoring the urgent need for stronger, adolescent-responsive health systems. Through the SHARP Project, ATMP is strengthening Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) systems to prevent unintended pregnancies and reduce adolescent maternal deaths expanding access to youth-friendly services, lifesaving maternal health commodities, skilled care, and accurate information. Today @MeTAKenya2018 through the @ProjectSHARP with generous support from the @EU supported the County Department of Health of Isiolo to undertake support supervision at Emeret Health center and Daaba Dispensary to assess progress in provision of comprehensive ASRH services. Some of the key milestones noted included 1️⃣Hiring of younger nurses to the two facilities to offer Youth Friendly Services 2️⃣Construction of a maternity wing and availability of most of the SRHR Commodities. 3️⃣ Through a consultative process between the Department of Health and facility in charge, an action plan was developed to further enhance Access to SRH services for Adolescents to avert the triple threat for implementation within the next 2 months.

Imagine the impact when malaria is detected early in every household. Under the Global Fund Malaria Project supported by Amref Health Africa in Kenya, our team held a CHU data review in Mumias West, focusing on household visits, referrals, & addressing gaps in commodities supply.

As Davos begins, Kenyans are done being spectators. We see debt grow while services collapse. We see wealth concentrate while poverty spreads.We see decisions made without us. And we're calling it out. This is about refusing to be invisible—speaking up, sharing our realities.

Most support groups collapse due to poor teamwork & unresolved conflict, not lack of funds. At Kodingo Health Centre, Nyakach Together We Heal support group is being trained by Tunaweza Sango SACCO on teamwork, conflict resolution, & sustainability to strengthen long-term growth.

A new week reminds us that change is not a one-time act, but a daily commitment. We show up again, to question harmful systems, to protect dignity, to center health, rights, and education, and to raise our voices where silence has done harm. #RaiseYourVoice
