Officers from the Pittsburg Police Department were proud to attend the Special Olympics Kansas Basketball and Cheerleading event this morning! 🏀📣 We had the honor of cheering on these incredible athletes and presenting them with their well-earned medals.

We had an amazing time at Battle of the Badges this year! 🚓🚒🩸 Huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the event and donate blood. Your generosity makes a real difference. Already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Don’t forget to come out and support a great cause at the Battle of the Badges benefiting the American Red Cross. You can attend tomorrow, the 21st or Thursday, the 22nd. Donate blood, eat some great chili, and help the American Red Cross. We hope to see you there.

The Pittsburg Police Department is once again taking the plunge! We’re proud to participate in this year’s Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics Kansas. If you would like to participate, use the QR code or go to soks.org/polar-plunge/ to register.

A big thank you to the lovely individuals who brought assorted candied nuts and popcorn for the officers. We appreciate the support and the delicious treats.

The Family Response Advocates partnered with Walmart to provide 100 Christmas meal kits to families receiving services through the FRA. Walmart also delivered toys to place under the Pittsburg Police Department’s Christmas tree for the community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Pete’s Gas Station in Pittsburg for donating a giant stocking full of toys to the Police Department. The toys will be placed under our Christmas tree and available for anyone to grab.

With the upcoming holidays, many people will be traveling or away from home. That makes it even more important to take a few extra steps to keep your home safe. A little prevention goes a long way in protecting your home this holiday season.
