FIFA went to great length to censor the Iranian identity and the real Iranian flag 🇮🇷 at the @FIFAWorldCup 2026. So much so that they panned away with their cameras during the game. The proposal as envisioned by the Vice President and the Trump Administration to end the Iranian conflict would be transformative for the region and a major achievement, leading to broader peace. It is my understanding the terms of the MOU will be released by the administration in the coming days. Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi delivered a clear and powerful message regarding the current US-Iran negotiations: "The people of Iran are not represented in these negotiations. 40,000 Iranians have not died for the Strait of Hormuz or for a nuclear deal." This is what you don't see when you watch any Iran worldcup match on TV!!! FIFA actively censors Iranian voices and emboldens regime propaganda by showing only the flag of the Islamic Republic while their supporters are too few. The Islamic Republic has so few supporters that it has hired non-Iranian African and Mexican nationals and asked them to show up in the stadium with IR flags, according to people present in the first match. Then FIFA employees go around the stadium and take away the Lion and Sun flag from actual Iranians. This is mad! FIFA purposefully doesn't show any Iranian dissident closeups on TV even after taking away most of their flags!! How can America let this censorship go on? Where is the freedom of speech when it comes to Iranian Americans?
