Stop coming fried rice like you are still in the 70’s
This is the only way acceptable to cook fried rice…
Cut your vegetables
Stir fry your cut vegables with seasoning
Stir fry your washed rice in another pot
Add your meat stock to the rice and allow to cook for 15 or 20 minutes.
Then finally add both stirred fried rice and veggies together in the same pan.
Mix well and check for seasoning.
Allow it fry together for 5 minutes then your correct Nigerian Party fried rice is ready🥰

My father can be incredibly demanding...
Back when I was earning ₦250,000 a month, I usually send him ₦50,000 every month as an allowance.
Instead of appreciating it, he constantly complained that it was too small, and it put a strain on our relationship in ways that are hard to explain.
Now, I’ve landed a new job that pays ₦500,000 monthly. I haven't told him about the increase, and I still send him the same ₦50,000 every month.
Have i done wrong?

I remember one Sunday, about 18 yrs ago, we just came back from the kingdom hall and everyone was so hungry but the only food in the kitchen was a left over pot of egusi that on a normal day, would not be enough for only me to eat.
But my late elder bro and senior cousin shocked me that day. They could not wait for the rice mumsy was making so they added a cup of water to the egusi, added one maggie and heat the soup then they made the largest bowl of garri. It appears as if it was 1 mudu of garri that was made.
That bowl of eba and watery egusi was empty within minutes 😩😩
Since that day, i don't look for their trouble anymore.😩

I remember when my mum was pregnant with our last-born. I was about 8 years old then.
Her tummy never got very big throughout the pregnancy, so I had no idea she was pregnant, let alone close to giving birth.
The day she was rushed to the hospital, I was terrified and thought something terrible had happened to her. My dad later calmed us down and explained that she was fine and was simply going to have a baby.
When she eventually came back home carrying my little brother, it felt so strange to me. For the longest time, I would stare at him and wonder if he had been adopted because I couldn’t understand where he had suddenly come from.
As a child, it was genuinely hard for me to believe he was actually part of the family.
