One person I’m not seeing in all the very deserved praise for The Daleks’ Master is Terry Nation. Which is bizarre, because these episodes are basically a neon sign screaming “this man knew exactly what he was doing.” Fast paced, properly dark, and actually exciting instead of just people standing around explaining the plot. I’m not shocked he is being overlooked. Again. Doctor Who fans have a long tradition of forgetting the man who made Doctor Who a success. No Nation, no Daleks. No Daleks, no early success. No early success… well, you get the idea. Anyway that’s my brief moment of justice for Terry. Rant over 😂 #DoctorWho

@twinkjodie I don’t think ‘executives’ had anything to do with how unbelievably bad SPACE BABIES, DEVILS CHORD, EMPIRE OF DEATH and REALITY WAR were. RTD2 was a disaster due to his dreadful writing. Viewers turned off in their millions. The blame lies squarely with RTD… IMO 🤓

i think rtd returning has breathed new life into a franchise that was on its last legs. a lot of the issues are down to executive meddling rather than the creative side of things. i can't wait for david tennant to return in the christmas special

I've been asked by the family to pass on the sad news that one of the Doctor Who's longest lived contributors - Laurie Webb, aka Mr Ollis in The Three Doctors - passed away peacefully on Sunday: 5 weeks short of his 102nd birthday. What a life, what a man. Delightful company too.

Doctor Who on BBC iPlayer Film is Fabulous! are delighted to confirm the two episodes of ‘The Daleks’ Master Plan’, which were recovered from a private film collection, will be available on BBC iPlayer from 6am, on Friday 3rd April. This is earlier than previously suggested.

@ProgtorWho @thenicolabryant She's putting on a slight twang, more mid-Atlantic than what she used on the show, but that's definitely not her English accent. As for Colin, he knew she wasn't American fairly early on.

@gerrykissell I never liked him to begin with. His episodes were always my least favourites out of each season during RTD1. But with RTD2 he’s sunk to a new low. Truly dreadful writing, massive ego, blames the fans/viewers for not enjoying his new version of the show. What a hack
