There occurs this ugly "pixel-stretching" if you naively do it programmatically. Pixel art hates noninteger scaling, there are solutions to this though

After years of struggling with Unreal Engine… I built my own engine instead.
I use prerendered 2D graphics inspired by classic RTS games like Age of Empires.
After ~2 months I already have a working prototype.
