Czech Prosecutor General Lenka Bradačova visited Budapest at the invitation of Prosecutor General Gábor Bálint Nagy. The parties discussed current trends and the ways of effective international cooperation between the two organizations.

On March 9-10, a delegation of seven Hungarian prosecutors participated in a professional workshop hosted by OLAF in Brussels. During the two-day event, we were welcomed by OLAF Director-General Petr Klement.

As a further step in the traditionally excellent Hungarian-Austrian prosecutorial relations, on February 24, Prosecutor General Dr. Gábor Bálint Nagy received Austrian Prosecutor General Mag. Margit Wachberger and her two deputies in his office.

Prosecutor General Bálint Gábor Nagy visited the Academy of European Law on the invitation of director Jean-Philippe Rageade. They agreed on the necessity of a leng term agreement for training.

Prosecutor General Bálint Gábor Nagy received Gong Tao, the Chinese Ambassador to Hungary in his office. In addition to establishing contacts, during the meeting the expected effects of digitalization and artificial intelligence on the justice system were discussed.

Prosecutor General Bálint Gábor Nagy spent two days in Czechia on the invitation of Prosecutor General Lenka Bradačova. During the meeting current topics of mutual cooperation in fighting criminal cases were discussed.

Close cooperation with the prosecution services of the neighbouring countries is a must: crimes do not know country borders. Prosecutor General Gábor Bálint Nagy and his Slovakian counterpart, Maroš Žilinka talked about the further deepening of relations in Budapest.

Prosecutor General Gábor Bálint Nagy paid an official visit to the Hague at the beginning of October to meet with Michael Schmid, the president of Eurojust and to participate in the 19th annual Consultative Forum of Prosecutors General of the EU Member States.

Hungary's new Prosecutor General Gábor Bálint Nagy took his oath of office today before the Parliament. At the start of his career he served as a judge. Since 2011 he has been working as a prosecutor. He was elected for the position of the Prosecutor General for 9 years.

Prosecutor General Péter Polt stepped down from his position after being in this role for 21 years altogether. We would like to express our gratitude for his dedicated work and we wish a similary fruitful carrier as a constitutional judge.
