It's been lovely to see some blue skies this week. Provan Hall looks stunning in the sun. The museum and gardens are open Thursdays to Sundays 10am - 4pm with free entry.

The Maker's Group at Provan Hall have been meeting on a Wed since 2023 & recently they've created this wonderful embroidery. A reimagining of the early maps of Provan Hall's lands. Come and see it for yourself where it displays proudly in our @sevenlochs exhibition.

Spring has sprung at Provan Hall! Come explore the garden and woodland with our nature trail packs. Available to borrow all year and just pick up from our reception area to get exploring! We're open 10am - 4pm Thursdays to Sundays with free entry to the museum and gardens.

Provan Hall Crafter's first workshop! Make a wee timorous beastie and get creative at this sewing workshop suitable for absolute beginners and anyone interested in learning a few fun techniques to make an ornamental mouse pal. Tickets are available: bit.ly/4cvEoHR 🐁🐁

We love a good cuppa & a natter at Provan Hall. We've developed reminiscence handling kits, great for local history lovers & social groups. Reminiscence sessions can take place at Provan Hall or wherever your group is & are dementia friendly. Contact ciara@provanhall.org.

We are busy with school workshops this week. Bring your class to Provan Hall to learn about all the people who have lived here, from bishops, poets to titanic heroes. Our workshops get hands on with history and explore through play. Contact ciara@provanhall.org for info.

@JayneBr90380819 @BBCTwo Hi Jayne, Harold Bride features in our exhibition rooms and his story is told in our talks, tours and workshops. We are currently exploring ideas for our exhibitions programme so watch this space for more news.

@ProvanHall @BBCTwo Pls tell me you still have a rather small, exhibition space devoted to Harold Bride? I remember seeing it some years ago but it was b4 the refurb of the cafe/shop area. It wd be awful if there was nothing there in his memory. 😔

On the 28th of December on @BBCTwo a new series detailing the sinking of the Titanic starts, based on first hand accounts. It is likely to feature Harold Bride's famous account as the wireless operator. Later in life he lived and worked at Provan Hall for a short time until 1956.

We welcomed our first paranormal investigators of 2026 this week and we have more exploring Provan Hall this weekend. You can hire one of Glasgow's oldest houses to see if any spirits still linger here after 500 years of history.

Happy Valentine's Day! Our Love and Lust event is sold out for this evening but Provan Hall is open with free entry between 10am - 4pm. Explore local Glasgow history at one of the city's oldest houses.

It's been a record breaking year at Provan Hall with thousands of visitors, dozens of school and community group sessions, heaps of events, oodles of creative workshops and masses of volunteer hours! Thank you to everyone who supported us, including our generous funders

These charming sketches by J. Jeffrey Waddell date from 1936, and at 89 (soon to be 90!) years old they continue to capture the beauty and simplicity of Provan Hall.

Today is the last day of public opening at Provan Hall this year - so do pop-in! Although we'll be busy with schools and groups in the coming weeks, for general visitors, today's the final day of opening in 2025 - so come and explore from 10:00-16:00.
