@APPG_Diabetes today in parliament highlighting the postcode lottery on access to technology. Commissioning decisions vary enormously. Chair @KeithVaz1 recognises the barrier it creates and that we must address.

Dr Ng explains the cost-effectiveness of investing in technology: “A 0.4% reduction in mean HbA1c would save the NHS £995 million over the next 25 years. Such modest improvements in control can generate huge reductions in costs of complications in people with diabetes.” @mayng888

@RG_ABCD @T1DCCUK @ABCDiab This is the irony of #type1diabetes #T1D management and @NHSEngland prescription policy: if no blood glucose measurements are available how much insulin do you dose? Insulin cannot be withheld yet strips and #libre #CGM can - one without the other = danger.
