@SusieM414141 1A doesn't cover this at all - it would if the <government> was trying to exclude him from an area open to the public, but a private business has every right to ban anyone as long as it's due to behavior

This DoorDash driver is just finding out he has been banned from picking up deliveries from all the Chop Shop locations because he live-tapes his work for social media. She says he’s been recording their staff, including underage workers. So who is right? Is he covered by the 1A in this instance, or is she right for protecting the employees? Not sure she can legally stop that.

Imagine you're just waiting for your food to arrive that you ordered and you see this. This man decides to disrupt an entire restaurant and go on a tirade of destruction, throwing chairs and smashing things. What would you do if you were a patron and he did this to your table? Or if you were the owner of the restaurant? Update in comments below.

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse As far as dismissing the danger of trying to stop someone that doesn't want to be stopped You never know how hard someone will fight you before you start. Once you're in the fight you can only escalate or back off - neither one is guaranteed to be the safer option

first of all insurance would be more likely to cover a security employee's injury than alternative fact patterns b/c injury would be incurred in the scope of employment second come on jason we can't be pussies. apply the same mindset underlying your position to any other scenario where a wrongdoer need be subdued by proportional force - home invasion up to war on scale as you please. it's called 2A and being a man third the runner loaded with merchandise/common street thief is more likely to harm the big corp's trained security officer than vice versa? if so then the company needs to hire competent people for such positions, train them adequately, equip them properly, and revamp operational policies to intelligently fit these common-sense realities rather than current UN-AMERICAN status quo fourth even in the highly-improbable event of an injury as you state, worker's comp claims are heavily limited in several ways and would likely be covered by insurance, but instead of elaborating in that direction, i want to ask you something much more important: why are you more worried about the big corp making billions off broken backs of underpaid workers than the security guard injured in your hypo? if such security guard pursued a criminal in the act per updated appropriate policies and by manifestation of low-probability events incurred serious injury, you're DAMN RIGHT big corp should cover his medical costs and related compensation including wages while he's absent healing welcome one & all to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. fuck the corporation to the extent it operates at expense of the citizen. rugged puritan individualism created this country the real risk is to continue to empower unhinged criminals currently operating at historically high levels please do quick research on topics such as: 1) drastic drops in recidivism rates following first apprehension for such theft; 2) high rates of harm to citizens inflicted in future by such criminals who commit theft/related crimes & proceed without any consequences; and 3) both the federal and your state's mf constitutions 2A God bless america

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse I'm paid a lot more today than I was when I worked retail, I am still not paid enough to put my life on the line for any product my company makes Not saying I wouldn't do so in an second for the right reason's - but pay isn't one of those reasons

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse Al the stores have cameras, they've got his face, his description and the car he left in - everything a mall cop is there to provide the police Largely MC's exist as deterrent theater, generally with very little real power or authority. Just there to encourage polite behavior

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse When you're talking about reducing recidivism - a mall cop isn't Judge Dredd We have a whole justice system that will utterly fail to punish a criminal - but not the person that tries to stop them

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse For corporations it's not about having Blackwater handling security for the store, it's about risk management - if an employee puts hands on a robber per store policy they're opened to legal action from the robber and the employee if there's the slightest injury to either

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse I think you're forgetting that while police have Qualified immunity mall cops don't How many juries are going to be happy to give millions of dollars to some poor guy that was just stealing a TV to feed his family?

Make Europe Great Again - M.E.G.A
🚨🇬🇧A 12-year-old girl secretly recorded her own ordeal. The evidence was suppressed. The judge said releasing it would cause "unrest." Rupert Lowe asked in Parliament: why is the system protecting abusers instead of victims? These aren't isolated incidents. They're patterns. Covered up. Ignored. Buried. We have a right to know the truth. We have a duty to demand justice.

@MagneticNorse Not one person in that store is being paid enough to risk getting killed over insured store property The store doesn't want to get sued by anyone that wold be involved

@Pyke___ @TakeYourPhysic @MagneticNorse And when the thief beats the employee up, stabs them or murders them? That's absolutely workman's comp - and likely a lawsuit Assuming any retail employee is willing to risk their lives over insured store property for what their paid Not worth the risk to anyone involved

Apparently 95% of Canadian journalists want more online censorship to prevent criticism of themselves. What do you think of that idea? 🤔

@Tablesalt13 $4,800 per month PER UNIT to operate... Someone call for an audit - there's no possible way the operational expense of one of those cells isn't a fraction of that

NEW -- A village of 108 sq/ft government boxes built for Canadians to live in, in London Ontario costs $4,800 per month PER UNIT to operate. (there are 60 units) This is nearly 3x the cost of renting a 1 bedroom 750 sq/ft apartment in London.
