i could understand wanting a film adaptation of games that follow the story properly back when the games looked like blocks but now I can taste Leon's sweat by licking my monitor so I think a unique story that adds to the overall worldbuilding is better in the end.

But after playing with it for a bit I realized I actually liked the rework and Hive Guards are fun to fight now.
I hope that in the time before it gets changed back people will have the same realization.

While I'm saddened by this reverted change as it makes the hive guards once again useless enemies hopefully AH has a new direction to take them and I'll trust their method

@SwanyPlaysGames I thought the same, but I found myself usually shooting alongside my sentries 99% of the time. So I'd just focus on the hive guards myself and take them out relatively easily, easier than before in fact due to the health and body nerf they got.

People are upset regardless.
The problem isn't that people don't know how to aim. It's that this change completely shut down some of the sentries and stratagems. The Machinegun sentry would waste all its ammo shooting at 1 hive guard.
What they should have done was make a new Hive guard variant that was just stronger than the regular ones that popped up on occasion vs certain strains.
That way people could prep accordingly.
It's also kinda weird to completely change the way an enemy feels after 2 years of it being just medium armor.

@helldivers2 Heavy armor hive guards weren't too bad after playing with them for a bit, was a fun change imo.
But this is the community that cries and shits themselves if you tell them a new gun isn't at least medium pen because they can't be bothered to aim (or just can't aim period).
