As a Wrexham FC fan since 1976 and a season ticket holder since 2002 it did hurt to be shunned by the club each time I asked if the club would feature our annual Wrexham event each year. There is clearly an agenda we don’t fit - or I don’t fit - but I actually have reached a stage where I am glad the event has continued success despite not being wanted by the Wxm phenomena. Last year was our event record with £40,000 raised for kids charity @nspcc and this year we return to help @macmillancancer . We are now on £297,000 total raised for charity as 2026 will be our £300K+ lap of Wales. Special thanks to Bangor City football stadium for kindly hosting our Knievel International Penalty Shootout this time around. The Wrexham town centre is now closed to traffic so we can’t even start or finish there anymore - so for a 2nd year we utilise local attractions. Thank you Chirk Castle for a superb backdrop for this years big Evel start. And Coedpoeth Parish Hall which takes over from Wembley Stadium of all places as this years BIG Evel finish! And to show no ill feeling @RMcElhenney @VancityReynolds and @thehumphreyker are welcome to join us!
