I don’t seem to understand why Obidients are pushing the narrative that Obi should have the ADC ticket. Did any of the coalition members promise that the ticket would be zoned to the South? Did anyone promise to step down for him? He did his research and consultations before joining the coalition in late December 2025. Obi himself also mentioned during the ADC convention that there would be a primary election, and both Atiku and Amaechi have said the same in their interviews. So, if Obi told his supporters that he was promised the ticket by the ADC before he joined, he should come out and grant interviews to clarify. At this stage, it would be easy for him to return to the Labour Party, or if he believes he can win on his own, he should form his own political party and wait until 2039. It’s becoming frustrating to see some of his online supporters pushing a false narrative and portraying every other leader in the ADC as an enemy of Obi. After Atiku’s interview, Tinubu had to face the media and tried to bring in the late Buhari administration to appeal to the North, because he is quite certain that nobody will contest the South behind him this time, not even Obi. Most of these supporters might not even come out to vote in the South if Tinubu and the military dominate the environment with intimidation and a show of force. Instead, they may choose to stay indoors watching football or Big Brother.

You have a choice to campaign for your preferred candidate and not to discourage one of the most influential, experienced, tolerant, accomplished, cerebral, tenacious, all-embracing, patriotic Nigerians in active politics today. ATIKU has given many younger Nigerians wings to fly at the National levels; he deserves your respect. He has done nothing to attract your veiled "bullying" by merely pursuing his own dreams...
