If there’s always connectivity with the current game, you do preserve the traditional turn based mechanics for future enjoyment. Especially if WW is anything like ZA’s gameplay

@TopSlotProtect @VelocityVGC @Wiltank I used to say this. But the mission statement of Pokémon Champions being “to preserve this style of Pokemon battles for the future” has made me concerned

people are begging to get off SV after four years, will they really want to play champions forever? I understand there will be more mixing things up in champions but I just can’t see this staying fresh to anybody but hardcore vgc players

Me realizing that no IVs in Champions means Trick Room got nerfed

Side note: I play and enjoy Pokémon unite. I also believe that there will be an intro/tutorial where you can farm VP before playing online matches.

If you actively play unite but are complaining about Champions monetization, please STFU FOREVER. Existing Pokémon can be transferred at no cost. However Unite, while great, is an endless money pit to even enjoy the game or play competitively.

@Profkoji Being pro-scouting is like the best based take ever. Scouting networks are still a huge problem in TCG. Why should you get an advantage just because you know a guy who knows a guy who played your opponent R2 and knows all their moves?

@nikicaga mold breaker is great on excadrill (stab eq ignoring levitate + sets stealth rock on magic bounce), but it is effectively worthless on all other mons. emboar already had a better pre-mega ability in reckless. shame it didn't retain it or gain smth like tough claws or sheer force

Okay I'm not that into competitive Pokémon, but isn't Mold Breaker a pretty good ability generally? People are acting like it got Defeatist

Yah I was promised a paid salary position by Ollie and left me other partnerships for this offer to focus on helping @GLYTCHEnergy I worked helping their partnership program for 6 months. ~ I was promised a Partnership with them as well that included: ~ Custom Shaker ~ Custom Flavor Nothing ever happened & I was promised payments that never happened. Glytch was one of the worst things to happen to me as a creator.

You can tell who actually played Pokémon for the gameplay vs just the Pokémon themselves by the replies. Turn-based Pokémon carried this franchise for decades. The day it disappears is the day Pokémon stops being Pokémon sorry

@sighyam Dumbest take i read all week. Y’all say this type of bs then still buy the game on release day. Nearly every jrpg franchised has evolved its combat mechanics. But y’all find arbitrary reasons to be angry at Pokémon games as when most successful spin-offs aren’t turn based.
