It has been linked to Parkinson’s disease and childhood leukemia, and research has found that it can harm people both after a single exposure and after repeated, low-level exposures.  Even a small amount can be fatal. We must ban paraquat now.

Paraquat, which is part of the first generation of commercial pesticides, has killed thousands of people across the globe.

Thanks to my colleagues for supporting my legislation that would protect thousands of acres of our beautiful forests by removing the cap for the Pennsylvania Game Commission land acquisitions.

I’ll always be an advocate for conservation and my bill would mean more land protected. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Pennsylvania’s hunters, their dollars fund conservation in a big way.

TODAY September 21 is Sun Day, a National Day of Action around clean energy. I have introduced House Resolution 295 designating September 21 as Sun Day, highlighting the importance of renewable energy in our Commonwealth.
