I'm having my air ducts cleaned, a chore I, homeowner for 10 years, didn't know was a thing until someone asked me recently how often I do this and I googled it and the internet said you should do it every 3 years. And now I'm wondering what else I don't know I should be doing.

@EliMcCann Info: are the vocalizations from those birds or other birds? The sound is finchy but the quick look at the bird running through the video looks like a California quail perhaps. Too big to be finches and also too on the ground

@EliMcCann Hard to tell from that video but they sound like finches of some sort. Perhaps Lesser Goldfinches? Is that the mom running around, and does she have a yellow breast? Also the Merlin Bird ID app would tell you if you can get clear audio or a photo or a good look

Every time I share a column I wrote for The Salt Lake Tribune a number of people comment or message me in frustration that it requires them to subscribe and pay a small monthly fee to read it. And I'm so confused when people are annoyed they have to pay for content.
