"Forever Canadian" collected 404,293 verified signatures to keep Alberta as part of Canada. “Stay Free Alberta" independence petition announced on March 31, 2026, that they collected 177,732 signatures. @ABDanielleSmith How does it make sense to have a separation question added to the referendum??????

@tndbaker06 Well at least I'm not still in Canada. Washington is kind of lame though. I hear they used to be great for guns.

You couldn't pay me to live in the United States. Canada is vastly superior.

@X9_redux $81,000 by the time it's paid off. For a $39,000 car. Absolutely brutal.

Mike makes a pretty good point here. Now, I'll never advocate for adding tax to anything, including "luxury" food. But perhaps we need to rethink if tax should be applied to certain levels of other goods like cheaper cars, basic gas, & housing under a certain price point.

We live in a country with no sales tax on caviar and foie gras. But if a family with kids wanta to buy a small, entry-level townhome, they pay tens of thousands in HST, and if you suggest lowering these housing taxes, progressives will cry that you're subsidizing the rich.

@RyanPatrickOl I could enumerate all the reasons infrastructure was cheaper historically, and how much of it was still heavily taxpayer subsidized (i.e. land grants, etc.) but I don't think that kind of nuance works on you people

Seems like most people against high speed rail in Canada assume that everyone will ride it for free. And they also appear to assume that there will be no economic or environmental spinoff. We never hear them complain about building more highways or bridges.

And what are your feelings about the Public Health aspects of gun control? Do you support enhanced Red Flag Laws? Would you support a dedicated Canadian research centre on firearm injury and death? Gun Control is not strictly Crime Control.

Greetings from Mackenzie! It’s a beautiful day here connecting with voters. I am PROUD to stand up for law-abiding gun owners and oppose Ottawa’s gun grab. Are you with me? findlay4bc.ca

I was curious how long 📅 the purely "regime change" phases of the Afghan/Iraq wars took. 🇦🇫AFGHANISTAN: 10/7/01 troops sent, Taliban deposed 11/13/01 (37 days) 🇮🇶 IRAQ: troops sent 3/20/03, Saddam deposed 4/9/03 (20 days) The current 🇮🇷 IRAN war has been going for 35 days.
