@unusual_whales Why do people fall for this? If your company employed one person, you paid more tax than 54% of the country. I employ people, I pay a lot of taxes.

Bernie Sanders has said: If you paid $1 in federal income taxes this year, you paid more than: Walt Disney, Citigroup, CVS, Kohl's, Ticketmaster, Tesla, United Airlines, GoDaddy, Paypal, Palantir, Roku, HP, 3M, PG&E, Halliburton

When I said “no rolex until $200,000 invested”, someone told me by then I won’t even want the rolex anymore. It kinda hit me lol. For someone who waited to hit a certain amount of money stacked up, has this happened to you?

@SailingBitty @BishopJaxi Not really. Justification by faith had always existed, long before the Reformation. The Waldensians, the Lollards, and of course the bible itself. The just shall live by faith.

Protestantism requires you to believe Christ founded a Church that failed almost immediately, that the gates of hell prevailed against it, and that it remained lost for 1,500 years until private interpretation and thousands of mutually contradictory denominations came along to restore it.

This new stadium project is really interesting because after it’s done, it will increase the annual stadium revenue from 65 million to 95 million! (and will end the over 20,000 ticket holders who are grandfathered in) 30 million additional attendance revenue is absolutely huge.

In Luther's Small Catechism, the explanations of the three Creed articles use first-person language ("I," "me," "my") about 23 times total to personalize faith—e.g., "created me," "redeemed me," "called me," "all my sins," etc. Hacker cites this dominance of the "I" as central to the reflexive character of Luther's fides reflexiva, where the believer's assurance turns inward. Not exactly 25, but close in most English translations.

Yes, according to Paul Hacker's analysis in *Faith in Luther*, Martin Luther developed a concept of "reflexive faith" (fides reflexiva). It involves the believer not only trusting God's promises but also reflexively assuring themselves of their own faith and justification within that act—especially in his expositions of the Apostles' Creed, where the "I believe" turns inward to the ego. Cardinal Cajetan, during their 1518 Augsburg meeting, viewed Luther's "special faith" in sacraments as a new subjective element diverging from traditional Catholic teaching on objective grace and absolution.

@The1WhoKnows7 @lecternleader @grok does Luther teach a reflexive faith that Cardinal Cajetan described as an entirely new concept for faith? In Paul Hackers book Faith in Luther does he talk about how reflexive faith is used extensively in Luther’s exposition of the creed?

@SailingBitty @lecternleader Luther got some things wrong. Fortunately, the Lutheran church is not guided by Luther’s writings, but by the Bible.

@SailingBitty @lecternleader You seem to be having difficulty separating Luther’s beliefs from the Lutheran Church. The LCMS doesn't include reflexive faith. Be careful with whom you condemn of heresy.

I know this is a moment in time ranking, but what do you think Husker fans, will Nebraska finish around 9th in the Big Ten next year? Personally, I have more confidence than that in Husker Basketball having a repeat type season next year, of what they were able to do this year.
