Fair to say yesterday was a bad day at the office. Certainly not a proud moment when watching myself back but for everyone that knows me closely they know I’m my own worse critic. Yesterday wasn’t just the result and performance, it happens and we all know that’s football. It’s more so the fact it hurts me to see how we’ve unfortunately hit our worse spell of form all season right at the depth and fallen away from the play off target. Although the clubs target at the start of the season was to stabilise I knew my group of players could achieve more. Obviously it wasnt to be but it doesn’t take away how incredibly proud I am of all them all. With stepping down at end of the season i obviously wanna end on a high with winning the remaining league games and the senior cup. I’ve said many times I absolutely love this group and take immense pride and passion in managing them and Kidlington football club. Said in my farewell interview that success to me is watching any player I manage grow and be the best versions of themselves. Yesterday we was a shadow of ourselves but I wear it as a manager and ultimately it’s on me. Full credit to Holyport, there wall stood firm👏🏻 (on and off the pitch 🫣🙈) I’m not used to having days like yesterday with my players so for it to take to April for that to come can only be a positive. We will bounce back 💚🖤

This year has been tough! My mum gets diagnosed with cancer. For 3 months I’m in and out doctors and hospital in agony. Now 2 weeks before my mums cancer surgery my dad has severe heart attack. People ask why I don’t celebrate new years.. Every year gets worse and worse!

As I say in this , a problem shared is a problem halved. Destroyed me doing this but I felt I needed to get it off my chest It’s a subject that not many open up about but for me it helps talking about it. Always here for anyone in need ❤️
