@FalldownStream I think this is a case of what came first, chicken or egg. I believe some people do it to reward their subs. I personally agree that it doesn't make sense on Twitch. YT actually does this better where you can make vids open to all or give restricted access to just certain vids.

Is there a reason I don't understand for people to put their Vods as Sub only? It always seemed like a great way to discourage new viewers, but I just don't know.
