Positive progress. Following the incredible support from parents, alumni and the wider community over the past week, the Governors have confirmed they intend to engage with stakeholders to gather ideas and initiatives for the future of St Lawrence College.

Today we are formally writing to the Board of Governors and Head of College – to engage with them on behalf of the community and stakeholders of St Lawrence College.

Local businesses that work closely with the school also stand to lose vital income and partnerships. Parents are mobilising urgently — organising protests, demanding transparency, and fighting to protect not just a school, but the heart of our community.

St Lawrence College in Ramsgate faces closure and a proposed merger with Dover College — a decision that puts teachers’ jobs at risk, displaces pupils, and threatens the many local sports clubs, arts groups and community organisations who rely on the campus facilities.
