Morning all. The Stimulating Physics Network is running another instance of the Physics Teaching A Level Course. Online on Monday evenings 16:45 - 18:15, we start in October - but more details are in the attached! Free for state schools in England.

Given the lack of physics teachers out there, more teachers are ending up teaching out of specialism. I've been asked what the best course/CPD for non specialist teachers to teach KS5 physics is. Best recommendations?

@DomWD1 @elthebasket @edmunds_dr Hey Dom, Good to see you on here. The online Physics Teaching A Level Course is available to state-funded schools in England - information to be confirmed soon. If that doesn't suit you send me a message and I'll keep you posted when I hear of more suitable events.

@Hookean1 Hi, I was wondering if you are aware of any resources/ske/cpd that would be aimed at supporting and or training a non physics specialist to teach Alevel physics? I can find a lot geared towards gcse but not alevel. Thanks so much!

@BeanRoberts @MarshallPhysics Hi there. It's tough - this course is funded for physics teachers, so is probably not the one for you. What's best, though - tutors are good, but expensive. Lewis @legophysicsguy has got some amazing resources at great value, which I would definitely look at. Good luck.

@ScienceAlan @MarshallPhysics Hi, my daughter has lost confidence with physics after her teacher left in the summer. She is grade 8 gcse and a’level this year. I want to support her but don’t know how. Would this be an option or am I best finding a tutor?
