Well done to year 5 for taking part in the Smart Mobility Living Lab stem activity. The children worked hard to create a battery powered motor for their electric scooter. The children loved the challenge and were excited to show what they made. @foxfield @SMLL_London

We had a great parental engagement session focusing on the children's learning throughout the year in Science. It was lovely to see the excitement during the experiments on the children's faces and parents! @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

We had an amazing time this afternoon using our skills learnt earlier in the year in science to create a circuit. Then we used our design and technology skills to add the fan to the circuit. Tomorrow we will evaluate our designs. @foxfield @FoxfieldScience

In science we created a double-page spread on our recent topic of Light. In order to successfully achieve our outcome, we referenced our learning journey and our knowledge organiser for sticky knowledge, technical vocabulary & facts. @foxfield @ScienceFoxfield @IPAT_Edu

In Cypress class, in our science lesson we have been testing ourselves on the icons and words linked to science skills and equiry.@foxfield @FoxfieldScience

In science this afternoon, we started our learning of light in the sunshine ☀️💡We engaged with an investigation to observe how more light increases our visibility @foxfield @ScienceFoxfield

Our young scientists have made their own paper helicopters during science club. We’re excited to see what other experiments they’ll try this term. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

It’s the final science club session today, and the children created their own explosive volcanoes. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

On Friday, we learnt how water travels through plants. We then made an experiment so we could visually see the process. Over the weekend, the plants have started to absorb some of the dye. We needed to look very closely though! 👀🕵️@foxfield @ScienceFoxfield

We are using our scientific enquiry skills of prediction and observation this afternoon! We are using eggs as "teeth" and observing what happens to the shell after it has been kept in different liquids... @foxfield @ScienceFoxfield @IPAT_Edu

Ending British Science Week with a bang...literally! We made invincible balloons by filling them with water. We had to make sure we held the balloon just right over the candle, otherwise it popped and we got soaked! @ScienceFoxfield @foxfield
