@ScottPlf @AidanWalshMUFC England didn't have a "strong squad" they had a fking unbelievable squad and he got to a grand total of 1 final which he lost

@JeffriesOliver @AidanWalshMUFC Exactly. I think we’ve always felt entitled to win as England fans because our squads have always been so good, but you still have to go and do it. Southgate’s record speaks for itself and I actually think we’d have very useful players for a Southgate system

@ScottPlf @AidanWalshMUFC I really wanted Tuchel as England manager, but I have to say I think we’ve gotten worse. We are now struggling to beat the side Southgate was criticised for beating.

@Muppetiers It’ll always baffle me why we would bring in a manager who is so staunch on his system that our best player (Bruno) doesn’t really fit in, especially without serious investment into a midfield partner (although I’m not even sure that would fix it)

I’m just utterly disappointed in things. I’ve given my stance on system vs tactics vs this that and the other. I have felt very worried this season Amorim would walk himself into the sack with the choices he makes - sticking to your tactics is one thing but then routinely picking the wrong players and once again displaying ZERO consequences and accountability for senior players, is lowering the standards heavily. The same players every week, mostly young ones, get punished for the smallest mistakes while others are given a long enough rope to cost us. Amorim has given the message that it is okay to play shit one week to the next - because that’s what is happening. Inconsistent management and standards = inconsistent performances.

Can’t believe how well Forest are doing. Nuno has spent well and rebuilt the reputation he had at Wolves, they’ve got a serious chance to qualify for Europe. Manager of the year without question if he does that.

Ten Hag obviously knows how to coach and I don’t believe Utd’s training sessions are not at a professional level, the problem for me looks like the players no longer trust his methods or his management. The players didn’t just look like they gave up today, they look they’ve given up on the league entirely. You will not see a more lifeless team who have completely surrendered in all 4 divisions of professional football. Those players don’t believe that what he’s asking them to do will result in success. You can’t lead from a position of weakness.

As harsh as it sounds, I have no confidence in Malacia coming back and being able to contribute to the team after so long out injured. We badly need another option at LB. Cannot go into the season with only Shaw because we all know how that’ll end.

@samuelluckhurst Rashford now has 3 legitimate starting threats in Amad, Garnacho and the return of Sancho (Antony still a lot to prove). That competition between the 5 of them, knowing that they won’t be moved central with 2 good No.9s and No.10s, will be a serious attack (if they all stay fit)

Really pleased Amad has hit the ground running. Good goal and performance. Progressed well since going to Sunderland (bar the injury last summer) and took his chance when he got that overdue first meaningful start in May. Should be an even more important player next season. #mufc
