NORMIES
NORMIES@normiesART·
gm Normies!🖤 First 30 days recap is here, take your coffee and let's dive into details. But before we share details: 🎁 Special for our first month anniversary, we are gifting 1 Normies for everyone buying 10 Normies today. This is a gift to let everyone involve, customise their Normies, get ready for the Arena which is launching in less than 60 days. Join to one of the most active, creative community. First of all, we would live to give flowers to everyone who joined Normies as a collector, builder and also as an artist. That's what made Normies stronger. We started with a "pixel art generator" website and then evolved to NFT collection. Normies is not just another NFT collection, it's an open canvas for everyone to build things on top of it. It invites collectors to become artists of their own Normies, vibecoders to become contributors to the system. Thanks to being fully on-chain, Normies unlocks every possible doors for the creator. In our second day we have launched our public API which is one of its kind that give opportunity to everyone to create something, build tools, dApps and more. With the Canvas, we choose to have a dynamic, collective collection instead of having static images. This was at first risky, but so far we have big support and conviction from the Normies holders. In the first 30 days, 1450 Normies burned, 200 canvas customized, 21,000 action points are used to customize. Total $130,000 worth of Normies burned by the collectors. Stats of the first month: Total volume: 680 ETH (~ $1.5M) Total sales: (19,850) Unique holders: 21% We got 5 legendary canvas so far by 5 different legendary artists: 1. Craig by @chrisguyot 2. Skelemoon by @lphaCentauriKid for @AdamWeitsman 3. Master Chimpo by @TimpersHD 4. Masked Normie by @piv_piv 5. LIFT by @ArtOnBlockchain These are the historical moments of our first 30 days, they are now fully on blockchain, forever. What we created in first 30 days is more than volume. We have created a strong community, OG collectors that are shaping the Normies narrative. They created over 50 tools using our public API which are helpful to analyze, have fun with our Normies and to create the Normies lore. We had an amazing free mint collection for Normies holders by our friend @nuclearsamurai. He created the collection, turned Normies into his own signature style and gifted us a free mint collection. We appreciate all the artists taking their time, contributing to Normies in our early days. We will have more of this. Our goal is to introduce many more great artists to our collectors. Few days ago, we announced our sponsorship of @NFCsummit. We will be there, in our own container, painting murals, meeting holders and gifting Normies various items. Also we are hosting our first holder brunch in Lisbon during NFC Summit. We have started to host our weekly X Spaces with @dopemind10, welcome in to listen more about us, ask questions, we are happy to help. off-black off-white off-perfect Normies are like us. We are all Normies.

Most of us in our 40s are walking through life carrying a bag of shame that was never ours to begin with. Shame of being “too much” Shame of not being enough Shame of intimacy Shame of desire Shame of needing Shame of feeling Shame of wanting more Shame we absorbed before we even had the language to question it. Shame we learned in silence, in subtle reactions, in what was withheld, in what was never said. And we built our lives around it. We shrink. We perform. We overgive. We disconnect. We harden. We hide. We overachieve. We hustle. We people please. Not because we are inadequate, but because we adapted. And when we operate from shame, we don’t just hurt ourselves… we hurt others too. We close our hearts when we most want connection. We push people away or cling too tightly. We choose from fear instead of truth. We project our wounds onto the people we love. We withhold our full presence, our integrity, our love. Shame doesn’t just live inside us, it shapes how we relate, how we love, how we show up in the world. And it narrows our vision. When we’re in shame, we don’t see reality clearly, we see life through the lens of our wounds. We make things mean something about us. We assume, react, defend, or collapse. We forget there are multiple sides, multiple truths, multiple realities. Just like us, everyone is carrying their own story, their own conditioning, their own fears. And when we can’t see that, we get stuck. Stuck in one perspective. Stuck in one emotion. Stuck in one version of the truth. But healing opens our vision. It allows us to hold more than one perspective at once. To see ourselves with compassion, and others with understanding. But… shame is not a life sentence. It’s a portal. Every place you feel shame is a place that is asking to be seen with love instead of judgment. Not fixed. Not rushed. Not bypassed. Seen. Acknowledged. Because underneath shame, there is nothing wrong with you. There is only a part of you that learned it wasn’t safe to be fully expressed. And the moment you create safety for that part, with your own presence, your own honesty, your own compassion, shame begins to dissolve. Not all at once. But layer by layer. Until what’s left is you. Whole. Worthy. Unapologetically alive.

My net worth peaked at $1.2 million. None of it was real. I don't mean that philosophically. I mean it was located on servers that have since been turned off. I own eleven properties in the metaverse. Three in Decentraland. Four in The Sandbox. Two in Voxels. One in Otherside. And a beachfront villa in Horizon Worlds that I bought for $214,000 because Mark Zuckerberg called it "the next frontier." The frontier closed last week. It's a mobile app now. Last year I mass DM'd 340 people the phrase "you don't understand how early we are." I have since stopped doing that. Not because I was wrong. Because most of them blocked me. I got into metaverse real estate in November 2021. Everyone was buying. Someone paid $450,000 to be Snoop Dogg's neighbor. In a video game. With no legs. The avatars didn't have legs. I thought that was bullish. "The legs are coming," I told my Discord. "Legs are a roadmap item." Three hundred people reacted with rocket emojis. I called myself a "digital land baron." I put it in my Twitter bio. I put it in my LinkedIn headline. I said it on a podcast that had eleven listeners. Three of them were bots. The rest were my alts. My virtual property has more square footage than my actual apartment. My actual apartment has furniture. Location, location, location. My most valuable asset was a plot next to a virtual Gucci store. Gucci left in 2023. The store is still there. Nobody's in it. It's like a mall in Ohio but with worse graphics and no food court. I held. Diamond hands. That's what we said. "Diamond hands." It means refusing to sell while your investment loses 94% of its value. We turned financial paralysis into a personality trait. A guy in my Discord paid $2.4 million for a 618-parcel estate in Decentraland. Prime district. High foot traffic. I asked him what "foot traffic" meant when the platform had 38 daily active users. He said I didn't understand the technology. I didn't. I still bought more. We had a DAO. A decentralized autonomous organization. That means we voted on decisions. There were nine of us. Three never showed up. Two voted on everything without reading it. The other four were me and my alts. We voted to "acquire strategic parcels." The vote passed unanimously. I voted four times. My portfolio peaked at $1.2 million. I told everyone. I made a spreadsheet. I projected 40x returns by 2025. I made a pitch deck. The pitch deck had a slide that said "WE ARE BUILDING THE DIGITAL ECONOMY." The slide had a rocket emoji. That was my entire financial model. In 2023 I bought a Bored Ape for $189,000. It's worth $14,000 now. I don't talk about the Ape. I still use it as my profile picture. People ask me about it. I say "I'm long-term bullish." Long-term bullish means I can't sell it without crying in a Panera. My mom asked me what a Bored Ape was. I said "digital art on the blockchain." She asked why it cost more than her car. I said "you don't understand Web3." She said "I understand you live in a studio apartment." She's not in my Discord. Justin Bieber bought one for $1.3 million. It's worth about $90,000 now. I felt better about mine after I heard that. That's community. WAGMI. We're All Gonna Make It. We said that every day. In the group chat. While the floor dropped. While the volume dried up. While 95% of all NFT collections went to zero. We're all gonna make it. None of us made it. But we said it with conviction and a laser-eye profile picture. That counts for something. It doesn't. But we said it did. That's decentralized consensus. Meta spent $84 billion on the metaverse. I need to say that again. $84 billion. More than the GDP of Luxembourg. More than the GDP of Iceland, Luxembourg, and Malta combined. They spent it on a platform where the avatars had no legs, the graphics looked like a 2006 Wii game, and the peak user count was lower than the lunch rush at a Chipotle in Des Moines. They just pulled Horizon Worlds from VR headsets. It lives on as a mobile app. My beachfront villa is now a mobile app. Location, location, location. Zuckerberg renamed the entire company for this. Facebook became Meta. A $900 billion company changed its legal name because the CEO watched Ready Player One and said "I want that." Reality Labs lost $10 billion in 2021. $14 billion in 2022. $16 billion in 2023. $18 billion in 2024. $19 billion in 2025. That's not a strategy. That's a speedrun. They laid off 1,500 Reality Labs employees this year. Shut down three VR studios. Killed Supernatural. Put the entire VR social vision in a casket and said "we're pivoting to AI and wearables." The pivot took four years and $84 billion. I pivoted too. I'm an AI real estate investor now. I bought a virtual plot in an AI-generated world that doesn't exist yet. The founder said it was "the intersection of spatial computing and large language models." I don't know what that means. I gave him $40,000. He has a whitepaper. It's 47 pages. I read the title and the tokenomics section. The tokenomics section is a pie chart. I love pie charts. They make everything look like a plan. The project has a roadmap. Q1: "Build community." Q2: "Launch beta." Q3: "Scale ecosystem." Q4 is blank. Q4 is always blank. That's where the exit scam goes. My accountant asked me to value my metaverse portfolio for tax purposes. I said $1.2 million. He said "current market value." I said $6,400. He stared at me for eleven seconds. I know because I counted. He asked if I had any other investments. I showed him my NFTs. He stared for longer. I told him they were "cultural artifacts with long-term provenance." He asked if I'd considered a 401k. I told him a 401k was "legacy finance." He told me to leave his office. The metaverse is dead. I don't accept that. I am a digital land baron. I own eleven properties across four platforms. I have a beachfront villa in a mobile app, a plot next to an empty Gucci store, and a cartoon monkey that cost me more than my actual car. Location, location, location. The location is nowhere. But I'm early. I'm always early. That's the same as being wrong except you get to say it with confidence.

**Death and Taxes** The reaper arrives without fanfare or sound, a quiet appointment penciled in long before birth. No bribes left to postpone him, no loopholes are found, he collects in full, and he values no worth. Taxes arrive with a softer tread, ink on paper, polite in their threat. They whisper of duty, of roads to be fed, of schools and of armies that never forget. One takes the body, the other the purse, both relentless, both certain, both blind. You bargain with neither; both answer the curse of being alive and of finite design. The calendar turns, the interest compounds, the balance grows heavier day after day. We pay what is asked till the final red pounds are stamped on the ledger and quietly cleared. Yet hear now my prayer, most Honorable Sirs, who steward the vaults where the surpluses sleep: the hourglass empties, the candlelight blurs— grant mercy, I beg you, before the books weep. In light of my imminent mortality due, and the lien that already encumbers my name, I formally petition, most humbly, to you: Please issue a bailout. I cannot sustain both death and taxes the same.

𝖈𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖟𝖊𝖓𝖘 it’s friday the 13th. today the irs will grant at least 3 bailouts. if you owe tax or are being audited - and want the governments assistance - submit your request at the form below. nothing is off limits. out of money? fine. away from keyboard? ok. developed a debilitating citizen collecting habit and need relief? sounds like a winner. bailouts will be granted for need, creativity, humor and/or pure insanity. ✖️💲 docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

little story on L1 gas the first ever collection i created was "one day i'll be a punk". i was so in love with the cryptopunks, and thought it would be fun to manifest owning one (i proudly do now...). it was a free collectible, randomly distributed to 10.000 claimers. when i launched it i thought i might get a few dozen VV community members to claim them. the thing is, back in the summer of 2021, gas cost on Ethereum was getting "crazy". on the day of the launch, minting one token was around 100$ in gas. a "free" mint... so my expectations weren't high. but within 10 hours, all 10k were gone (notably to 10k individual wallets as enforced by the contract) and at the end of the day i was up second place on Etherscans' gas guzzlers leaderboard. whattt?!... "that's 1 million USD for nothing". well, one could certainly see it like that... or one could say "people contributed 1 million $ to decentralize a global network of nodes". imho, that is a much more accurate description of what that means. gas is good. gas is an expression of the worth of the underlying ultimately limited asset (here, computation). the ethereum network is beautiful and it can only exist through our contributions to it (note back then, before the london 1559 upgrade, all gas fees went to miners). or one could say "people spent 1 million $ on securing an idea on a global ledger". this is also an interesting statement. obviously that meme spoke to enough people for it to catch on, distributing itself via the underlying network effects (like "gas guzzling contracts"). or one could say "this is art that people valued at 1 million USD". the fact that i didn't see a penny of that doesn't retract from that simple truth. and for some reason, in a weird way, it makes it easier for people to see it as art, or fair, or good. all these three frames are both valid, and insanely cool. you can't but be in awe at this technology, the workings of which ensure your creations are alive, accessible, timeless, and completely independent from any single entity. a direct connection between you, and the people interacting with your creations, on an internet native protocol.

People who joined crypto after 2022 had it the hardest: Buy the dip on NFTs, only to see them drop another 90% in the years after. Get into Ordinals at the top, spend the few BTC you have, only to see everything go to zero. Watch all the influencers on CT make a bag on Friendtech, best case you're sidelined, worst case you're exit liquidity. Farm Blast for months, blinded by the $100 USD-per-Gold math, only to get completely destroyed at TGE. Be exit liquidity for memecoin influencers and their trading pump-and-dump groups for a year straight. See the Trump coin, be sidelined, then lose all your money on Melania and Libra. Get into InfoFi, post about projects for nickels, with half of them rugging your allocations and everyone on CT hating you, wanting to see you get banned. Join ICOs at $1B valuations, only to be down 60% on TGE day
