**UPDATE** 6/20/22 2:35 AM Evidence collection at the scene has concluded. The area of Sutter and Pennsylvania Streets are open. The investigation is ongoing, updates to follow.

Just before 7p.m. Solano County deputies received a call to assist Vallejo PD w/ call regarding a traffic accident where a person was armed w/ a knife. Shortly after deputies arrived, an officer-involved shooting happened and the person died. Major Crimes Task Force is on scene.

Another Emergency Sandbag Fill Location has been opened. Suisun Valley Rd off of Rockville Rd. This site will be open today only, Sunday 10/24. You will need to bring your own shovel and be prepared to fill your own bags.

It’s a little after 2:30am and the wind shows no sign of slowing down. Fire, public works and utility personnel have responded to numerous reports of downed trees and powerlines throughout Solano County. Per PG&E there are 24,000+ Solano County customers without power.

Evacuation centers are as follows: Ulatis Community Center at 1000 Ulatis Drive and McBride Senior Center at 91 Town Square Place. Large animals can be taken to the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo. Small pets can be taken to the Solano County Animal Shelter 2510 Claybank Rd.
